Uplink Dimensioning Over Log-Normal Shadowing for OMA and NOMA Schemes

This paper investigates the uplink dimensioning problem for OMA (Orthogonal Multiple Access) and NOMA (Non-Orthogonal schemes. Dimensioning is to make radio resource provision a service area fulfill an outage constraint. The limit in classical inhomogeneous Poisson assumption of served user point process questionable. In this paper, we first prove that admits homogeneous distribution limiting regime. As consequence, coverage probabilities over log-normal shadowing both schemes are derived. Then, tractable stochastic geometry models two proposed obtain numbers total required blocks. Their upper bounds under constraint also given reduce computing overhead. Finally, simulations confirm accuracy derivations demonstrate effectiveness our models.
